  The North Page to Deepwater stretch of Loop Creek in West Virginia is 9.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III(V) section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in West Virginia are easier than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came.
    The wonderful Fayette County scenery and the cool fresh water have people coming here. The put-in location is a short drive from Oak Hill, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There's camping available near Loop Creek. The North Page to
Deepwater section is the only paddling section along Loop Creek. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip.

Briefly about the general area:
The high level of precipitation makes Loop Creek a relatively wet site; most of the rain falls through July while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
All through the summer months here at Loop Creek, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Loop Creek.
