The starting point is not too far from Beckley, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The Madams Creek Road to New River section is the only paddling section along Madams Creek. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother     nature are great reasons to come. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in West Virginia tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
