If you're coming from Morgantown it's not a long drive at all to the starting location. The nature scenery of West Virginia and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Morgan Run doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Rt. 26 to Cheat River section is     the only one. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Morgan Run generally tend to be in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Morgan Run are in the 10's. Dunkard Bottom is an interesting location to stop by while at Morgan Run.
