Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The nature scenery of Preston County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an     overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. The Orr to Route 26 section of Muddy Creek in Preston County is 11.5 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that.
