Whitewater rafting and kayaking in West Virginia is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The nature scenery of West Virginia and
the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Big Springs Gap to Cheat River section
is one of them. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
