The wonderful West Virginia scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is a very short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back     to put-in a few times. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is the only paddling stretch along Peachtree Creek. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Briefly about the general area: All the water falling down from the sky makes Peachtree Creek a wet site; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest. For the period of the summer months at Peachtree Creek highs are generally   in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Peachtree Creek. A good place to stop at near Peachtree Creek is Rollyson Hollow.
