The scenic beauty of Wyoming County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. If you're coming from Bluefield     it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are no other sections to paddle along Pinnacle Creek than the CR 18 bridge to confluence with Guyandotte River section. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. Briefly about the general area: Lots of rainfall falls at Pinnacle Creek; July is when you get the most rain here; October is the month with the least moisture. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Pinnacle Creek. For the period of the dark hours of summer   temperatures drop down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Pinnacle Creek.
