The Bloomington to Keyser section of Potomac River - North Branch is 7.5 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater
according to American Whitewater. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Bloomington to Keyser stretch is just one of many. The starting point is not too far from Cumberland, as you can see on the road map further down. Some people prefer whitewater rafting
and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
