If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. The wonderful West Virginia scenery and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here
you'll find a large number of good spots. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at
a nearby campground. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people.
Briefly about the general area: Judy Spring is a scenic place to have a look at while you're at Potomac River - North Fork of South Branch; do take a hike on the North Mountain Trail.
