The Confluence of Boggs Run to Confluence of Spring Creek section of Robbins Run is 2.8 miles long and it is classified as a class III section by American Whitewater. This is a somewhat short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem
but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out
with mother nature are great reasons to come. The wonderful Greenbrier County scenery and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile.
Briefly about the general area: Good hiking is available along the Big Run Trail, and a short trip to Clifford Brown Spring is always worthwhile. All through the long summer days highs here at Robbins Run get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Robbins Run temperatures
fall to the 10's. Robbins Run gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls all through July while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A journey to Robbins Run wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Vesper Lewis Spring.
