This section of Seneca Creek in West Virginia is 13 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V+ section. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less demanding. Since
you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The scenic beauty of Pendleton County and the cool fresh water
have people coming here. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too.
Briefly about the general area: Falls Of Seneca is always fun to check out, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Allegheny Trail. Take a hike on the Little Allegheny Trail. Seneca Creek gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls throughout July; February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs
at Seneca Creek ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Seneca Creek.
