This section of Sleepy Creek is 12.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-II(III) section. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are     not very demanding. The CR 13 to CR 9 section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. There are some good hotels near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. During the warm months at Sleepy Creek highs are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's.
