too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. This stretch is mid length, suitable
for an afternoon trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This is the only paddling section along Spring Creek.
Briefly about the general area: The Big Run Trail is a pleasant hiking trail near Spring Creek. Through the summertime highs here at Spring Creek get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Spring Creek. The high level of rain makes Spring Creek a pretty wet place; most of the rain falls through July, and January is when it's the driest.
