Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The campgrounds here at Tea Creek are pretty good. This is a bit of a short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll
have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is the only paddling stretch along Tea Creek. The beautiful scenery of Pocahontas County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come
here to paddle.
Briefly about the general area: Tea Creek is a wet spot that gets lots of precipitation; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. For the duration of the summertime months here at Tea Creek, high temperatures typically get into the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Tea Creek are in the 10's. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Tea Creek; Tea Creek Trail is a delightful local trail, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Williams River Trail.
