  The US 50 Close to Pleasantdale to confluence of North River section of Tearcoat Creek is 3.9 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. The starting location is a short drive from Winchester, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The natural beauty of West Virginia and the cool fresh water have people coming here. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. There aren’t any hotels right
    nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. There are campgrounds quite near the river
