The put-in location is a short drive from Morgantown, as you can see on the road map further down. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Teter     Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Nestorville to Tygart River stretch is the only one. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. The natural beauty of West Virginia and the cool fresh water beats anything. This stretch of Teter Creek is 4 miles long and is a class IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Briefly about the general area: High temperatures at Teter Creek during the summertime months are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Teter Creek.
