This section of Tygart Valley River in West Virginia is 8.4 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III+ section. The scenic beauty of Randolph/Barbour County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. The Aggregates to confluence with Beaver Creek stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. If you've
been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. Lodging is available near the
river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
Briefly about the general area: All the water falling down from the sky makes Tygart Valley River a wet place; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. Don't leave Tygart Valley River without first paying a visit to Town of Junior Spring It's always great to explore Denver Lee Shomer Spring. At Tygart Valley River during the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to
the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Tygart Valley River overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
