Whitewater rafting and kayaking in West Virginia is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. There's camping available near Tygart Valley River. The Aggregates to confluence with Beaver Creek section is one of many paddling sections in this river
system. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here.
Briefly about the general area: All through the warm days of summer at Tygart Valley River highs are typically in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Tygart Valley River dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Tygart Valley River usually gets much precipitation; all through July this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. Town of Junior Spring is always fun to check out, and a short visit to Denver Lee Shomer Spring is always worthwhile.
