This stretch of Whiteday Creek is 10.7 miles long and has been rated as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The starting location is a short drive from Morgantown, as you can see     on the road map further down. The scenic beauty of Taylor Monongalia Marion County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Whiteday Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Confluence of Cherry Run to Monongahela River stretch is the only one. Briefly about the general area: At Whiteday Creek during the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Highs all through the winter are ordinarily in   the 30's while Whiteday Creek night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Whiteday Creek gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
