This stretch of Black River in Wisconsin is 4.8 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III(V+) section by American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon     trip. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. There are no other stretches to paddle along Black River than the Little Manitou Falls to Rail Road bridge stretch. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good spots for that around here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. Briefly about the general area: Little Manitou Falls is always fun to check out. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Black River. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's.
