Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. The beautiful scenery of Clark County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch of Black River is 10.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip,
so go ahead and pack your camp stove. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very
popular destination. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers.
