Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wisconsin is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. The wonderful Wisconsin scenery and the cool fresh water beats anything. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The campgrounds here     at Black River are pretty good. The Hatfield Dam to Power Plant stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of places for that. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
