The to Highway 2 stretch of Bois Brule River in Wisconsin is 3.9 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. The beautiful scenery of Wisconsin and the water flowing gracefully down Bois Brule River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. Great exercise and just hanging
out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. This stretch is short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Whitewater rafting and kayaking
in Wisconsin is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners.
Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Bois Brule River commonly tend to be in the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Bois Brule River. A short tour to Little Joe Rapids is always worthwhile, and a tour to Bois Brule River wouldn't be complete without taking
a look at Doodlebug Rapids. Bois Brule River is a good site of normal precipitation; most of the rain falls through August, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
