If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Wisconsin you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting     or kayaking, either way there are not so many other good spots for that around here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. There are no other stretches to paddle along Bower Creek than the Fonferek Falls to Highway V stretch. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The scenic beauty of Brown County and the cool fresh water have people coming here.
