The Mineral Lake to Mineral Lake Rd stretch of Brunsweiler River in Ashland County is 0.5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Whitewater paddling here in the Gogebic Range is a great experience. The campgrounds here at Brunsweiler River are pretty good. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in     this river system, there are a few others too. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is an extremely short section so better bring some good walking shoes. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding.
