CLASS II-III     0.5 miles
The wonderful Chippewa County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Chippewa River make the trip here worthwhile. This section of Chippewa River in Wisconsin is 0.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The average Wisconsin whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good spots for that around here. You can pitch a tent or
park your RV at a nearby campground. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section is very short so you'll have to walk back to the start
over and over. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Eau Claire, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here.
