Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wisconsin is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that rivers here are less demanding. The nature scenery of Wisconsin and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. The Downtown EauClaire section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming     back for more. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is a very short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good places for that around here. Briefly about the general area: At Chippewa River through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Chippewa River. Chippewa River gets a normal amount   of annual rain; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
