  The nature scenery of Wisconsin and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The starting point is not too far from Eau Claire, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The Little Falls to Big Falls section of Eau Claire River in Wisconsin is 1.4 miles
    long and has been rated as a class II-III+ section by American Whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other spots. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons
to come. This section is very short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Little Falls to Big Falls section is one of them.

Briefly about the general area:
For the duration of the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Eau Claire River. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Eau Claire River dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Big Falls is a nice
 
local attraction.
From a precipitation point of view Eau Claire River is a quite common site; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is usually the driest month.
