The scenic beauty of Douglas County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so why not pack     your sleeping bag too. Eau Claire River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Johnson Road to State Camp Bridge stretch is the only one. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other places.
