The wonderful Douglas County scenery and the playfulness of the water beats anything. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is the only paddling stretch along Eau Claire River. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are
    not so many other good spots for that around here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Johnson Road to State Camp Bridge section of Eau Claire River in Douglas County
