This stretch of Marengo River in Wisconsin is 6.6 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III(V+) section. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The wild scenery of the Gogebic Range is great. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Wisconsin     you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The FR 194 to FR 384 section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip.
