The nature scenery of Wisconsin and the playfulness of the water beats anything. The Quiver Falls section of Menominee River is 0.3 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. This section is very short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river
in one stretch. The starting location is a short drive from Marinette, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so
if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The Quiver Falls stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here.
Briefly about the general area: Summer brings highs in the 80's to Menominee River. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 20's, and winter nights come with
lows in the 0's to Menominee River. It's always great to check out Quiver Falls, and Quiver Falls is a great local attraction. Menominee River gets a normal amount of yearly rain; September is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
