The Underwood Creek to 43rd and Monarch stretch of Menomonee River in Milwaukee County is 4.8 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. The campgrounds here at Menomonee River are pretty good. There are a few
other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Wisconsin are easier than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. No need to look hard for hotels, but you'd better
