The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Manitowoc, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The Zander Road to Highway 147 section of Neshota River is 3.5 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time     in nature are great reasons to come. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Zander Road to Highway 147 section is the only paddling section along Neshota River. The scenic beauty of Wisconsin and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. Briefly about the general area: All through the summer months here at Neshota River, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Neshota River. Hit the slopes at Hidden Valley in the vicinity.
