The FS 2131 to FS 2134 section of Peshtigo River in Forest County is 8.9 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in     your car. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the FS 2131 to FS 2134 stretch is just one of many. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Wisconsin are often more forgiving than in other states, so better not forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners.
