If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Wisconsin you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. The wonderful Marinette County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. There aren’t     any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This section of Peshtigo River in Wisconsin is 7.8 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. Briefly about the general area: From a precipitation point of view Peshtigo River is a rather normal place; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is February. Don't leave Peshtigo River without first   paying a visit to Spring Rapids. For the period of the warm months at Peshtigo River temperatures are frequently in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Peshtigo River.
