This section of Pine River in Florence County is 2.2 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-IV(V) section. The wonderful Wisconsin scenery and the playfulness of the water beats anything. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. For all you camping people there     are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places.
