The Morgan Lake Road to Pine River section of Popple River is 11.2 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III+ section of whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby     campground. The scenic beauty of Florence County and the water flowing gracefully down Popple River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. The Morgan Lake Road to Pine River stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Popple River gets a common amount of rain; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is February. For the duration   of the days of summer highs here at Popple River get into the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Popple River plunge into the-10's.
