  This section of Red River in Shawano County is 7.75 miles long and has been rated as a class I-III(IV) section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wisconsin is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. The scenic beauty of Shawano County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river,
    but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the River Road to Morgan Road stretch is one of them. Some people prefer whitewater
rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers.

A common amount of rainfall falls here at Red River; through September this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
Through the summer highs here at Red River reach the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Red River.
