Grant Street to South Milwaukee Street section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II-III 1.5 miles
The scenic beauty of Wisconsin and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch of Sauk Creek in Wisconsin is 1.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. The put-in location is a short drive from Sheboygan, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wisconsin is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. There are campgrounds
quite near the river where you can camp. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. There are no other sections to paddle along Sauk Creek than the Grant Street to South Milwaukee Street section. A bit of exercise and spending
some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. There are many good hotels to choose from, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
