The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. There's camping available near St. Croix River. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. The beautiful scenery of Wisconsin and the cool fresh water     are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This is the only paddling section along St. Croix River. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Through the warm days of summer here at St. Croix River, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's, and through the night it cools   down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at St. Croix River dip into the-10's.
