The Nelson's Landing to Snake River Confluence section of St. Croix River in Burnett County is 8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up     quick. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The campgrounds here at St. Croix River are pretty good. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other rivers.
