  The nature scenery of Wisconsin and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. The Nelson's Landing to Snake River Confluence section of St. Croix River in Wisconsin is 8 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might
    end up sleeping in your car. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting
or kayaking, either way there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Nelson's Landing to Snake River Confluence stretch is one of them. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.

Throughout the summertime months at St. Croix River highs are generally in the 80's, and the nighttime
 
is a tad colder of course, usually in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 10's; overnight lows in the-10's for St. Croix River.
