The Nelson's Landing to Snake River Confluence section of St. Croix River in Wisconsin is 8 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might     end up sleeping in your car. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip.
