This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Lodging is available near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. The Taylors Falls section of St. Croix River     is 0.2 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. St. Croix River gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. At St. Croix River during the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows all   through the winter for St. Croix River tend to be in the 0's. You might want to pay a visit to Saint Croix Dalles since you're here at St. Croix River, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Wild Mountain is rather near.
