The nature scenery of Marinette County and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people.     There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The Veteran's Park section is the only paddling section along Thunder River. This is an extremely short section so better bring some good walking shoes.
