Water levels must be high to do the Upper Totogatic. Otherwise you'll be dragging your canoe over rocks. But it's very wild and remote.     in this state are quite easy. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. This is the only paddling section along Totogatic River. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come
because it is a very popular destination. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you won't find a large number of other spots. This stretch of Totogatic River in Washburn County is 8.9 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater.
