Very fun! Great trip for 2-3 friends. We set in at the dam at Sweet-Allyn Memorial Park, and traveled upstream with ease to the arched railroad bridge (E Cty Rd. J). Says Danial
I live on Turtle Creek and my husband and I are planning a overnight canoe trip for next weekend. Should be a blast with all this rain! Says Adrianne
The starting point is not too far from Janesville, as you can see on the road map further down. The natural beauty of Rock County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. This stretch
of Turtle Creek in Wisconsin is 4.7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I section. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it
is a very popular destination. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The average Wisconsin whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Shopiere stretch is the only paddling stretch along Turtle Creek.
