The Gehrman Creek to Brownstone Falls section of Tyler Forks in Ashland County is 1.8 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This is a somewhat short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The beauty of the Gogebic Range is a great plus for this river. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both,     doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wisconsin is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
