You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are not so many other good spots for that around here. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camp stove. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often     easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. There are no other stretches to paddle along Upper Tamarack River than the Radigan dam to Markville stretch. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: The Markville Snowmobile Trail is a magnificent hiking trail near Upper Tamarack River. An average amount of precipitation falls at Upper Tamarack River; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Upper Tamarack River usually tend to be in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 50's.
