The scenic beauty of Wisconsin and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other places. The campgrounds here at Upper Tamarack River are pretty good. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving     than the national average, so better not forget that rivers here are less demanding. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are no other sections to paddle along Upper Tamarack River than the Radigan dam to Markville section. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camping stuff. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come.
