The nature scenery of Wisconsin and the water flowing gracefully down White River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem     but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Maple Ridge Road to Flowage section is one of them. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: All through the warm days of summer highs here at White River reach the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 10's while the cold winter nights at White River are in the-10's.
