The natural beauty of Langlade County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Wisconsin you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the     river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. The campgrounds here at Wolf River are pretty good. Briefly about the general area: High temperatures at Wolf River during the warm months are in the 70's; the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Wolf River night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. Wolf River is a good site of common rain; during September this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with   the least moisture. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Hemlock Rapids, and don't leave Wolf River without first paying a visit to Sherry Rapids.
