If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels

gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Wolf River dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This is a great river. Going for a hike on the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail is always a great adventure.
