Otter Slide to Big Smokey Falls section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II-III(IV) 5.7 miles
I just recently went down the otter slide with my wife and some friends. We had a blast, the water was kind of cold in the begining but you get use to it quick. My favorite part is near the end of the trip you go threw a stretch that has huge rock walls on each side with pretty good rapids then it opens to a big swimming hole. There are rock walls on one side it looks very tempting to jump off of the walls wich if I had to guess go up about 40 feet. But let me be the first to tell you dont jump I did and broke my ankle. Me and my buddy jumped side by
side at the same time he is fine Im not I hit rocks under the water. So dont be stupid like me and jump kinda wrecks the last fall witch is by far the best one. Says Kasey
We are planning a trip for 8/4/7 Are we dragging the rafts? I really need an honest answer from someone
who hasd been there lately...email-redson@madison.k12.wi.us Says Ruth Edson
